It is painful
to look inside yourself and forgive yourself for all of your failures and the mistakes
you believe you have made. For all those times that you blame others for your
unhappiness and your lack of self-esteem, for the times you did not respect yourself ,
for comparing yourself to others, for judging yourself harshly, for allowing
others to disrespect you and abuse you. For all the times you did not believe
in yourself. For all the times you let yourself down.
To face
your darkness takes an act of courage and truthfulness, an act of love towards
yourself. Holding onto all the grievances you have about yourself keeps you
prisoner to your unhappiness. It will distance you away from life itself.
Facing our
darkness and forgiving ourselves for what we believe we did, is the key to our
salvation, to our freedom.
Forgiveness
allows us to see our humanness and our weakness and come to peace with who we
are.
Forgiveness
looks beyond our faults and sees our true nature and chooses to see our
innocence, instead of our guilt.
Forgiveness
stops our self-punishment. Forgiveness knows that if we knew better we would
have chosen differently.
Forgiveness
smiles at our mistakes because it knows that all is well, nothing real happen
to threaten us from who we really are. Forgiveness turns our mistakes into
lessons. Forgiveness knows that all our perceive mistakes were really only a
call for love.
Forgiveness
is an act of kindness and compassion toward our self. It sets you free from all
the guilt and condemnation that we’ve places on ourselves, it allows love to
heal you and restore your magnificent true Self, in all its Divinity. It allows
Miracles to happen.
Let
yourself of the hook and forgive your humanity. Fully accept your shadows for
what they are, just shadows waiting for the light to shine and allow the
fullest of who you really are to shine brightly.
Forgive
yourself and now know you have a choice, to continue punishing yourself or you
can choose to love yourself faults and all.
You and you
alone have the power to stop the pattern of self-condemnation, it is simply a
matter of choice.
As always
the love starts with you.
