Worthy

What determines your value? Is it your bank account, is it your social status, your career, your friends, your parents, your partner! Who or what determines how much your worth?
I am learning that our worth is an inside job. There are no outside circumstances that will make you feel worthy if on the inside you do not value who you are.
Our worth is established at an early age, our parents, teachers, family, society and religion all teach us how to value ourselves. We learn to value our self by how someone treats us. Words and actions from others all have an effect on how we see our self.  We integrate others perceptions of who we are.  We buy into other people beliefs. But what happens when other people’s belief are wrong?
Our subconscious is filled with all these beliefs that we have come to believe about who we are. And then we try all our adult life to prove how worthy we are, not really understanding why we struggle so hard to achieve fulfillment. Happiness constantly escapes us. We constantly judge our self for not being enough. For not being enough intelligent, enough beautiful, enough money, enough friends, enough love. It is never enough. The hole we have inside is never satisfied, never at peace. Always trying to prove, always yearning, always crying, always suffering and always empty. It is a losing battle.
Only when you begin to question and challenge these beliefs and start loving and accepting who you are and believing in your own worthiness, you can then come to value your true loving Self.
No matter what you were taught about yourself, it is never too late to change how you perceive yourself. It is always your choice. You have the power within.
Consistently showing yourself the love, compassion, gentleness, kindness, acceptance and forgiveness that you deserve, will you then be able to shift how you value yourself.
No one, no circumstances, possession or accomplishments in your outer world can make you fill worthy.  That comes from you. Love yourself, be patient and trust that The Divinity in you is clearing a path to your wonderful Self.
So remember when you don’t get that job, or that relationship you so desired , or that raised you needed, when the circumstances in your life are challenging, just breathe and know deep inside yourself that it has nothing to do with your worth.
You are worthy because you existence, this automatically gives you the right to be worthy of your life. No matter what anyone or anything says or does. No exceptions!
As always the love begins with you.

Forgiveness

It is painful to look inside yourself and forgive yourself for all of your failures and the mistakes you believe you have made. For all those times that you blame others for your unhappiness and your lack of self-esteem,  for the times you did not respect yourself , for comparing yourself to others, for judging yourself harshly, for allowing others to disrespect you and abuse you. For all the times you did not believe in yourself. For all the times you let yourself down.
To face your darkness takes an act of courage and truthfulness, an act of love towards yourself. Holding onto all the grievances you have about yourself keeps you prisoner to your unhappiness. It will distance you away from life itself.
Facing our darkness and forgiving ourselves for what we believe we did, is the key to our salvation, to our freedom.
Forgiveness allows us to see our humanness and our weakness and come to peace with who we are.
Forgiveness looks beyond our faults and sees our true nature and chooses to see our innocence, instead of our guilt.
Forgiveness stops our self-punishment. Forgiveness knows that if we knew better we would have chosen differently.
Forgiveness smiles at our mistakes because it knows that all is well, nothing real happen to threaten us from who we really are. Forgiveness turns our mistakes into lessons. Forgiveness knows that all our perceive mistakes were really only a call for love.
Forgiveness is an act of kindness and compassion toward our self. It sets you free from all the guilt and condemnation that we’ve places on ourselves, it allows love to heal you and restore your magnificent true Self, in all its Divinity. It allows Miracles to happen.
Let yourself of the hook and forgive your humanity. Fully accept your shadows for what they are, just shadows waiting for the light to shine and allow the fullest of who you really are to shine brightly.
Forgive yourself and now know you have a choice, to continue punishing yourself or you can choose to love yourself faults and all.
You and you alone have the power to stop the pattern of self-condemnation, it is simply a matter of choice.
As always the love starts with you.

Letting Go!

Letting go of situations, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, or relationships is one of the most challenging and frightening thing that we experience in our human existence.
Letting go of whatever no longer serves us is confronted with resistance. We resist change. Change scares us; it makes us feel out of control and lost.
I ask myself, why we struggle so much with letting go, what frightens us?  What is it about change that we resist? Of course the answer is the unknown, although we know in our heart that letting go  would be the best solution to stop our suffering,  the unknown paralyzes us , we like certainty. Certainty makes us feel secure.  Even if we suffer at least we are certain of our circumstance.
So we rather suffer than challenge our self to grow and to explore new possibilities. How insane is that! REALLY!.... reflect on this. We choose to suffer and then we ask ourselves why happiness eludes us.
We do not need to resist our feelings; we merely need to surrender to what is. And allow the love inside you to carry you through. Our feelings are just that, feelings; they are neither good nor bad, they are just our human experience a way for us to process the energy inside us. So let us celebrate our feelings and stop resisting the miracle of life. Yes, change is life itself calling you to your destiny.
The next time your face with the fear of letting go, surrender to your feelings, and allow space for something new to come into your life. It is okay to be frightened and lost; it is not okay to judge yourself wrong. Give yourself what you would give to a friend…love, compassion, patience, and acceptance. Celebrate the opportunity you are presented with and trust that all is well; life is asking you to make space for something wonderful to come into your life.
Happiness is a choice, a choice to let go of what no longer makes us happy, a choice to be kind to our self, a choice to trust life even when it feels out of control, a choice to walk toward self-love.   Choose inner-peace; instead of inner- conflict. Be conscious of your choice!
Beside nothing is permanent , everything changes, the only constant reality is love.
As always the love starts with you! Choose Love!

Wisdom of Inspirations: Acceptance

Wisdom of Inspirations: Acceptance: I have always had challenges with relationships, I always held on to the belief that I was just misunderstood and that whomever was my part...

Acceptance

I have always had challenges with relationships, I always held on to the belief that I was just misunderstood and that whomever was my partner at the time was unable to accept me fully as I was. Although some truth may lie in that, I now am completely aware that it was I that did not accept me.
I have been in a new relationship for a year now and I was still caught up in the same old belief, you know that inner fear base voice that says “You are unacceptable, therefore unlovable”. So it is no surprise that my new relationship is in conflict. What you believe you are is reflected back in your everyday circumstances. As The Law of Attractions teaches, like attracts like.
Last night in bed I was just meditating and as student in A Course in Miracles we are taught to listen to that part of you that is connected to Source, the Course calls it the Holy Spirit, some call it inner wisdom, others the light within, or Spirit, whatever you want to call it has no importance, what is important is to become aware of that part inside you that Loves You unconditionally.
So as I was meditating on my relationship and asking my inner guide why was this happening, why was I suffering again?  As I was talking to my guide I was caught up with blaming my partner for not accepting me, and if only he would just change his ways everything would be alright. After weeks of meditation on this conflict with my partner, I had come to a point of complete surrender and this must be why I finally allow myself to listen to the wisdom of my guide.  In A Course in Miracles we are taught that with just a little willingness on our part the Holy Spirit can enter our mind and guide us to our true nature of pure unconditional love where we then allow our perceptions to be corrected.
Whenever you allow yourself to chose love over fear you instantly find inner peace and the answers to your prayers are always given to you. My guide made me understand that I was unable to accept my partner’s behavior because I was unable to accept the part of me that I consider weak therefore unlovable.
For one brief instant I was given a Miracle, I choose Love over Fear and by doing so, I was given the opportunity to see my partner’s innocence instead of his guilt. As I became aware that by placing blame on him and not accepting his behavior was really only a reflection of what I was doing to myself. In one instant everything became clear to me, how could I ever accept another when I was unable to accept me?  How can I love another when I did not love me?
Intellectually I always knew this, after all years of self-help books did have an effect on my mind. However it is one thing to understand something intellectually but to wake up to that Self –realization is what enlightenment is all about, that is true understanding, a feeling of Knowing followed by a deep sense of peace.  This is the starting point of transformation. You can only change something once you are willing to see the Truth above everything else.
I can now honestly say that I am at a point in my life lessons where I can start to really truly accept myself in all my glory. When you accept your darkness, you finally allow your Light to step forward and shine brightly.
Accepting yourself is a life long journey with many inner struggles, but when you finally give up the resistance and let the Love that is deep inside you envelop you with forgiveness and compassion and allow it to flow easily  and embrace yourself in gentleness, you free your Spirit to  become all that Love created you to be.
Choose Love always!
